For the First Time NETPAC Jury Will Work at Bastau.
For the first time, the NETPAC jury was established at the 10th anniversary International Festival of Student and Debut Films Bastau.
The Network for the Promotion of Asian Pacific Cinema (NETPAC) is an international organization established with the support of UNESCO in 1990, which includes 30 countries. It unites film critics, cinematographers, organizers and curators of film festivals, film distributors and teachers. NETPAC is a leading authority on Asian cinematography. The organization participates in the compilation of Asian cinema programs for international film festivals, represents filmmakers from Asia all over the world, conducts seminars and conferences.
Moreover, the NETPAC has established a special award – Best Asian Film, which is awarded at several dozen film festivals around the world. Starting this year, such an award will be awarded at the Bastau.
Film critic Gulnara Abikeeva a member of the board of this organization will be headed the NETPAC jury. Besides her, the jury included Kazakh producer Olga Khlasheva and Kyrgyz film critic Gulbara Tolomushova, who are members of NETPAC.
