CHECKMATE

Stepan lives in a little room under the stairs. He can’t live in his apartment because his wife doesn’t remember him. For former chess grandmaster Greta, he is concierge with whom she plays chess for a bet. If he wins he takes her to the theatre. For Stepan, this “tournament” is an attempt to make Greta remember him. But first he must win.
